Thank you Jim! I really enjoyed your message. My whole family has loved the way you have ministered to us at Glenkirk these past years. I appreciate all you’ve done for us and your faithfulness to the Lord. We wish you and your family well and look forward to hearing about your adventures in the future. 🙂
Thank you for this “farewell” sermon, Jim. It demonstrates the gracious spirit in which you are leaving Glenkirk and your openness to God’s purposes in whatever comes next. Exactly why you are leaving remains a mystery to me! I accept that I’m not going to ever know who said/did what, and when and why. The Lord sees and knows ALL the details. That is enough. May He bless you and keep you. May His Holy Radiance shine upon you, in you, and through you. May He bless you and make you a blessing wherever you go. Genesis 12:1-3 –Emily Griesinger
Pastor Jim, so sorry to see you go. We loved what you did for Glenkirk while you were Pastor there. They might think your calling is not needed but you are a spirited man of God and for us we learned a lot and saw what God did thru you and you changing you made. We came from A/G background and loved the teaching and were taught God’s Word. That is what the church is and should be. May you know you and your family are in our prayers everyday and may the spirit lead you to the Church that will appreciate your teaching. Love, Yolanda Johnson
A bitter-sweet ending to one of the most beautiful, nourishing, and exhilarating chapters in our lives: one I could never have envisioned during the 5 1/2 years we drove 130 miles rt to sit under your ministry. Yet on the other hand, I know that all of God’s servants labor in a broken world to a broken people under the shadow of sin’s curse. Thus endings are inevitable, sometimes smooth and sometimes ragged.
The good news is that beyond every death is a resurrection as you have so often reminded us so eloquently. And our confidence for you is that beyond this Glenkirk chapter God is even now preparing you for a greater, more productive, and even more fruitful chapter. I trust I live long enough to see it unfold in all of its radiant glory.
Pastor Jim,
Thank you for your faithfulness, leadership, and vision. Your Holy-Spirit filled messages, Sunday after Sunday, were so absorbed by many, like cool springs to a parched wasteland. An undeniable quenching! Your sincere love for this flock is evident in your gracious farewell. God is leading you to greater hights and will bless you because of your faifulness. When all is said and done, you Shall hear, “Well done my good and faithful servant!” You and your family hold a special place in my heart. I will forever be grateful to our Lord, for the opportunity to have been shepherded at a pivotal time in my journey, by such a visionary man of God. As we say in Spanish to good friends, never Adiós, but ¡Hasta Pronto!
